IM MELTING

it's bl**dy HOT here in Perth today

and my house is like a sauna! all I need is some white towels and wood panel on the walls and walah!

the air con has been on full bore since 8am, whole place is locked up n dark

but with no insulation this is HORRIBLE in here

its so hot in here I cant even type right

so I am gonna go do a big bombie in the neighbors pool, dont care if they feel like visitors - we comin over anyway

"please mum"

all day Jake nagged me to scrap his Nintendo DS for him! He has never liked the baby blue colour of it and has had it covered in stickers - well that is until today!

he took off the hotwheels cover and picked out what he wanted me to use, Basic Grey papers, Bo Bunny stamps and Kaiser rub ons, placed them on my desk and nagged and nagged and nagged till I finally caved and scrapped his DS to his instructions

'no mummy put that there, cut that from the middle of the paper, I dont want flowers, yeah add the black letters, yeah stamp that there and that here'

the kids got a good eye for scrappin!

and I had fun scrappin my bin! LOL

oh and this disaster! It looked so much better in my head - true it did!
its a little mini canvas n easel which stands bout 4.5 inch tall!

we did. spent the morning surrounded by pressies, smiles and noise

the kids father called in for breaky then we headed over to my beautiful sister Kirsti's place for lunch. Back home for an afternoon nap then the noise started....

Guitar Hero World Tour

we have had drumming, guitaring and singing rockin the neighborhood for 24 hours now and my head is gonna explode - it is soooo loud....

but omg it has been absolutley FANTASTIC seeing the kids all playing together laughing and having a great time

Then 9am this morning it all started again - this time the mates started rocking up...

they all 'think' they can sing... absolute crack up

teenage voice cracking vocals together with a** kickin drummin, giggles and guitaring

wat a hoot...

they keep running from the camera but the chickens!

and my babies spoiled me too...
they spotted these coffee cups and said 'yep thats mum, they look like scrapbookers cups, we gotta get em for her'

their reason for that purchase was

I have been having fun with distressing lately so went a little overboard, plus I really wanted to play with the kids new blow pens, they just looked like so much fun... but hey, you get that... LOL

OMG wat a mess I have managed to make today...much to the kids delight - and to think I was once a 'cook' PML

it all started when I made some little chrissy choccies and melted way too much choccy so the Jake and his 2 friends helped clean the bowls - no complaints from them!

then I blew up the food processor! smoke filled the whole kitchen... oops! all I was tryin to do was crush some biccies for rum balls...that made for some entertainment... they were all giggling so loudly and 'bashing' the air to clear the smoke

so how do I crush the biccies now, oh I know, I'll put em in a bag and bash the crap outa them with a rolling pin - well... that was untill the bag broke and it all went flying everywhere!!!

the kids are now have a layer of cookie crumbs ontop of their smokie chocolate covered faces!but it gets worse!

me and my clever ideas...

I decided our rum balls needed to be more chrissmassy so I got out the food dye! red n green coconut sounded like a good idea till I started it...

my hands now look like a christmas tree!

oh and let me tell you bout the trifle! hehehe

I forgot to buy some Sherry so Bicardi it was, one for me one for the trifle, one for me one for the trifle and on it went!....

red n green jelly was the first disaster!

I thought I would pop them into the freezer to help set them a bit quicker, good thought till I swung around from bench to fridge and spilled half of it all over the floor!

so what can I put in their now to replace half the missing trifle???

LOTS... it now has 11 layers! oops...

I got a little carried away! looks awesome but...

and the mars bar slice looks (and tastes) darn good!

so not a total disaterous day...except now I gotta go do all them bloomin dishes!

man I made a mess....

good thing its the silly season after all! LOL

ok, back to it I go, just had to sit with a cuppa and recouperate after all that

I was bustin to scrap last night but my bloomin mojo musta packed up and moved out, he was feeling a little neglected this past couple of weeks

Busy Busy Busy
this past couple of weeks have been pretty full on around here in the prep for chrissy, visitors staying, school holiday starting and getting this house ready for the festive season (and rent inspection LOL)
so I thought I would shout myself a few treats at spotlight!
I hit the Kaiser rack and filled the trolley
nearly died at the checkout
BUT
wahhooo look at all these goodies I got to play with nowyeah I know, I got carried away and couldnt help myself, I had to open nearly everything the second I got home and play....

I also got some papers, punches, embellies, felts, alphas, towells, bath mats, shower curtains, bamboo blinds, chrissy nic nacs, kids crap, paints, jewellery boxes and all sorts of crap!
oh well, its only once a year... hehehe

everyone needs a little extra luv this time of year

meanwhile Jake wondered around as a pirate trying to cash in on everyones bounties for himself... wrapping paper rolls make great swords and they hurt too! LOL

I made a calander... wahoo my first otp in ages and geez I really enjoyed making it too

I used the new Fancy Pants 'All Fall' papers

the older kids are getting money this year from me, so I made some little cards with pouches on the inside to slot the money into

I have the cutest little mini easels with canvases here that have been screamin at me to scrap em

i could even hear them from my bedroom this morning, they made me get up way too early to come out here and start on em! but... I gotta stop and put em away for the day

I spent a total of over 10 hours just DRIVING yesterday!

good thing I put the car in for a service the other day LOL

we had some fun though whilst cruisin the streets.... this young guy in a pretty flash nissan next to us a the lights thought he was just sooo cool till I took off and left him for dust behind me! PML

ok so I need to grow up - another day!

I've surely had my day behind the wheel though! some are too scared to get in the car with me

Yep I am... most definately the proudest mum in Perth right now!

my kids have all had a wonderful day and I cant wipe the smile off my face
it all started this morning when Tash won a achievement award at school for ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN YR 8 MEDIAthe overall out of over 300 students for 2008
then Josh won one too!!! for ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN YR 9 MEDIA - FILM & TV the overall out of over 300 students for 2008
check out the medals they won.... they got lovely certificates too

AND he also won a 'service colour' award for RECOGNITION OF OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE SKATE PARKwhich he ran along with 3 of his friends for the entire school of over 2000 students.... yes they have a skate park inside the school compound!
Josh got a lovely certificate for this too and a shirt pin with 'BCC skate park 2008' on it....
They go to BCC (Ballajura Community College) which is the largest school in WA and both my darlings got overall achievements and I am sooo totally proud!!!
AND IT GETS BETTER
their school reports came home today too
Tash - 6 A's and 2 B's
Josh - 5 A's and 3 B's
They have both done sooo fantastic and I am soo very proud
Jakes report comes home tomorow....

I had my car in for a service today which meant I had 5 hours to wonder the shops while waiting, so my beautiful sister and mother came for the long drive up my way to spend the day amongst the mad crowds with me

but now... omg my feet are killin me! this rheaumatoid really sux! it sux so much today I cant even spell it right and i dont care!! LOL

but to make it even worse I have 2 ironing jobs in to do tonight AND we are going out to dinner! oh man... I am gonna need a miracle to get through all this! that and an extra pair of feet and a few more hours would be nice

Christmas has come early at Nats! LOL

I had a darn good day yesterday... I drove my mother into the hospital and whilst heading back out of town I decided to go and visit by baby sister, Kirsti

So I headed in the opposite direction to home down the highway

finally after bout half hours drive and not getting lost I ran past her for the loo before even saying hello! LOL

bugger the xmas shopping for the kids it was girly sister fun time so she dragged me down to her fav. local LSS (mind you she didnt need to twist my arm too far!) and OMG I was like a kid in a candy store! wow what a great store

and a few other bits n peices that screamed out to me

they had great prices and lovely service

well worth the hours drive! LOL

and then it gets EVEN BETTER.... I get home to a parcel sitting pretty at my front door from the gorgeous Taryn at Scraptastic South West

and this is all ontop of my little expedition to 'spotlight' LOL

all in the hunt for a fiskars scollop punch - which they didnt have! so i got a few other bits instead!

I did get a punchie but, not the scollop one but another border one that looked pretty cool

and more buttons! I couldnt help myself....

and then last night I just had to play...

the punch got attacked first and I managed to power through close to half the chrissy card list! LOL

and look at my baby girl - metal mouth is her new name! LOL

she is growing up way too fast... she got her top braces on last week and coping really well

they ache a little, her description to the pain is... 'its like a headache but in my mouth!'

and now my beautiful people i really gotta get off my butt and make a start on this day!

the vacume is out but unfortunately doesnt work too good without me...

good morning beautiful people, its a wet miserable day outside here in Perth! Oh well good thing I have to be out in it all day then hey? LOL

I have a visitor staying with me for a while and today I have to drive her into town for a hospital appointment and try and squeeze in a little christmas shopping in amongst the insane crowds!

I am still struggling on ideas to get my children for christmas, I dont want to buy crap just so they have presents but its looking rather bleek on what to get... stress!!!!!

Might hit Toys R Us and hopefully find some inspiration in there, its Jake that is the hardest to buy for, he's 8 now, doesnt need anything, isnt into anything (besides Spongebob Squarepants) and just too hard...

But enough of that, thats selfish talk on my behalf, I will today be buying gifts for the christmas wishing tree and also donating some toys back to the Salvation Army that have so kindly helped me in the past. This is my year to return the favour. Thanks to Mr Rudds kind bonus (which I wont be getting till the 18th :(...)

The system is just not fair! There are so many families that are missing out on this bonus that are doing just as hard as the rest of us. My heart goes out to you and I will do my best to help make your christmas a good one in the best way I can

No matter how much your income is you still manage to spend every last cent of it plus some, so why do so many families miss out? It truly makes me sad

how has your weekend been? hope everyone has had a good one

I have had a spinny morning... I took the kids out shopping with intentions of getting a new outfit each to wear on christmas day and spun out... we walked in, picked up what we wanted, paid and walked out with NO EXTRAS... now that never happens!

that has to have been the easiest shopping trip ever!

the shops were nice and quiet too, probably cause the rest of Perth is at the christmas pageant! LOL

and with the christmas spirit slowly kicking in I will show you the two layouts I did last night using my DT pack from Deb's Creations

and this one using up the scraps left from the DT pack and all the half used alpha packs!and now my beautiful people i am gonna go hit the couch and watch a movie (or have a nap! LOL)

Thats it I give up!!!! I finally got my blog looking alittle better BUT the pink border is doing my head in BIGTIME... it wont do as its told so I'm going to leave it as it is - for now

I have had a busy few days building the rest of my site, have got my pages all updated with fresh links to the forum and new gallery

atleast the pink border behaved itself in there! PML

when you get a chance you should check it all out

I have updated the links over there on the right too, so go for it, have a wonder round, stop in and say hi in the forum and take up the December challenge
